Linda has been with PKF since 2016. Her responsibility is currently that of an assistant manager in the Firm, which is inclusive of managing and leading staff in her team. She has relevant work experience, spanning from forensic investigation, auditing, accounting, taxation, business advisory services and financial management. She has practical hands-on experience in developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure company growth and viability, coupled with solid planning and organizational skills in coordinating each of the company goals. Her training contract experience with PKF is supplemented with her academic and professional skills. She rose through the ranks from Junior Trainee to Audit Supervisor. Skills developed during her training contract include communication, presentation, team-work, leadership, problem solving, setting and managing objectives, employee appraisal, as well as exposure to real accounting and audit issues.
One of her roles while working at PKF, is to provide guidance and coaching to trainee accountants to complete audits and business advisory services timely. In particular, she is involved in offering advice to the PKF clients where deficiencies in internal control systems are noted. In turn, this has helped various clients to improve their internal control environment. She also focuses on preparing and assisting in negotiating audit budgets for various clients; preparing for technical audit proposals for clients; planning of audit assignments; reviewing of work done by audit staff to ensure that the audit plan has been implemented and that the work done meets the Firm’s quality and documentation standards and is in compliant with international standards on auditing; reporting to client management on any issues requiring their attention and providing value adding recommendation where deficiencies are noted; liaison with clients; coaching the audit team; managing all audit engagements; and managing all accounting work engagements and other non-assurance services engagements, ranging from financial management, taxation, secretarial services, advisory, business management training, among others.
Linda has been involved in the audit and preparation of accounting records for companies and/or organizations in the following industries/ sectors in Lesotho and Swaziland: Manufacturing, telecommunications, parastatals and local authorities, non-governmental organizations, pharmaceuticals, farming, retail, financial institutions, and trusts.
